Next-Generation Mirror's Edge Coming

I had played the original game when it came back in 2008 and I had absolutely loved it! The idea, the mechanics and the gameplay were very well executed and that constituted to a beautiful and revolutionary game.

Now let's talk a little about what we know about the new game. First there were rumours, then came teasers and now we have this. The below image was tweeted recently with the game's official Twitter account and it seems like the game that we've all been waiting for will be a reboot and will go by the name - Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

That's all fine, but what about the reboot? How different will this one be from the original? Well, it looks like the protagonist and the core mechanics will be retained but the story will be revamped completely. In addition to that, we can expect new moves and much more fluidity to the game.

The game will be revealed at EA's Press Conference at E3 on June 15. This is another announcement I am eagerly looking forward to at E3 2015.

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Set For Reveal At E3

Great news! Looks like we will be getting a new Plants Vs Zombies game soon. It is set to be revealed this year at Microsoft's Conference during E3 on June 15th. That's just about a week away. The title states that it will be called Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

Here's the official teaser of the game:

Rumors suggested that the game would release on all major platforms but from the looks of it, the game will again be an XBox Exclusive. It may or may not be a timed-exclusive so we cannot be sure if it will see light on the Sony platform(s). We'll have more concrete news on June 15th.

First Trailer Of Fallout 4 Is Here !

Bethesda Game Studio gave us a glimpse into their upcoming game when it released a trailer  of Fallout 4 last week. The only news that is official for now is that the game will release on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. When? That hasn't been revealed yet. We will have more information about the game at E3 in about two weeks. That's when the developer will be hosting its very first conference ever. The date of the conference is set to June 14th.

The game will feature the protagonist and his dog trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The dog will apparently play a very important role in the game.

What about XBox 360 & PS3 ?

I'm afraid to say that the game won't be seen on the previous-gen consoles. Here's what Matt Grandstaff, the global community manager for Bethesda Softworks, had to say, "It is not coming to 360 and PS3. The stuff we're doing will never work there."

To the people who were looking forward to playing the game on these consoles, sorry guys. Looks like this is another game your console won't get.

Check out the first trailer of Fallout 4 below.

Unchartered: The Nathan Drake Collection Announced For The PS4

Similar to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the XBox One, Sony is offering its fans a remastered version of the PlayStation exclusive Unchartered that goes by the name Unchartered: The Nathan Drake Collection, coming only on the PlayStation 4.

The collection will incorporate the first three games of the series - Unchartered: Drake's Fortune, Unchartered: Among Thieves & Unchartered: Drake's Deception - all running at 1080p / 60 FPS. Apart from that, the games will feature a Photo Mode (yes, the very same that you've been seeing in a lot of games lately) and also trophies.

The game will be available both digitally and in physical disks starting October 7th in the US and October 9th in the UK and Ireland. As always, pre-ordering will have its perks, like:

         > Single player skins of iconic Drake outfits,
         > Golden AK-47 and Golden 92 FS weapons,
         > Unchartered: Nathan Drake Collection Dynamic Theme for your PS4 (only for digital              pre-orders),
         > Exclusive access to Unchartered: A Thief's End Multiplayer Beta.

The final installment of the series, Unchartered: A Thief's End, was supposed to release at about the same time but had been delayed to 2016 (details here). Is 'The Nathan Drake Collection' why the game was delayed? Or is it because the game was delayed that the developer had to compensate by coming out with the collection? Either way, I'm sure as hell happy. It will give time to get geared up for Drake's final adventure.

A Glimpse Into The World Of 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out worldwide now and has got some very impressive reviews. This is said to be one of the best games ever made, after Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us. That is a true honour and says so much about the game. CD Projekt Red has worked really hard on this game and definitely deserves a round of applause.

Here is a review roundup:

Gamespot            :  10/10
IGN                       :   9.3/10
Game Informer   :   9.75/10
Kotaku                  : Should you play this game? YES!

The developer released a new trailer showing what we can expect to see in the game and it is so good that it makes us want to play the game all the time just so that we can get to those parts that are shown in the trailer and experience it for ourselves. Here is the trailer:

Stay tuned for more news.

Go Nuts: A New Assassin's Creed Is Coming

As if all the huge announcements this past couple of weeks weren't enough, Ubisoft also decided join in and ridicule us with a teaser of what appears to be a new Assassin's Creed game. Last year's game - Assassin's Creed Unity - suffered with an amplitude of bugs and glitches. The game was not optimized for any of the platforms which brought serious criticism from the fans and they are wondering why Ubisoft needs to bring a new Assassin's Creed every year. If it needs time, we will be all but patient. We just need to see the old glory of Assassin's Creed back. But I'm sure there's nothing to worry, fans. Considering Ubisoft is one of the most renowned publishers in the world, it would have made doubly sure that we get the best Assassin's Creed game ever made.

The above image was leaked a while back, claiming that it is from the new game. If we take the leaks seriously, it may carry the title Assassin's Creed Victory and will be set in the Victorian era. Nothing is confirmed yet, though. This is just speculation.

The game is set for a world reveal on the 12th of May, 2015 at 6pm CET.

Here's the teaser trailer for you guys.

Being an enormous Assassin's Creed fan, I am thrilled to my very spine. How excited are you?

"Oppression Has To End"

You Can Download Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Right Now!

Wolfenstein: The New Order was a highly appreciated (and welcome) reboot of this year. It brought back old memories and managed to make fresh ones with an amazing overhaul of visual enhancements coupled with a great story to give us a jubilant experience. Now, Bethesda has announced a prequel to the game - Wolfenstein: The New Blood.

The game is of a standalone presence and is already available to download via XBox Live, PlayStation Store and Steam. Though the game can be digitally downloaded now, physical versions will not be available for a week.

"The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the Allies' favour, B.J. Blackowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria. Part one of the Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Rudi Jager and the Den of Wolves - pits B.J. Blackowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshed's compound. In part two - The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs - our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfberg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power."

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will release on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in the form of disks on May 14th in Australia & New Zealand and May 15th in Europe. Or if you can't wait to play the game, you can download it right now for £14.99 or $19.99.

Here is the official launch trailer to get you pumped.

PS4 and PC Getting Far Cry 4: Complete Edition, But Not XBox or PS3

Publisher Ubisoft has announced that the Sony PlayStation 4 and PC will be getting a Far Cry 4: Complete Edition. From the image above, it is understood that this is like a GOTY Edition, which will incorporate the full game along with all the DLCs (The Valley of the Yetis Expansion, The Hurk Deluxe Pack along with The Syringe, Escape from Durgesh Prison and Overrun add-ons).

The most controversial thing about this game is that it won't be coming to either of the XBoxs or the PlayStation 3. In a statement, Ubisoft said, "The Far Cry 4: Complete Edition will be released on June 19, 2015 on PlayStation 4 and PC only in EMEA territories. We have no plans of releasing it on the XBox One." Why Ubisoft mentioned the XBox One specifically, we have no clue.

Eurogamer's Aoife Wilson said that Far Cry 4 was "well worth a visit, but it's more a backpacker's delight than a five-star island paradise."

The game releases on June 19 in Europe, Middle-East and Africa. No word on the regions outside the mentioned places yet.

EA Is Going To Keep Us Busy For Quite Some Time

Publisher EA and its development team at DICE is working round-the-clock to bring us the best games in the world of modern gaming. It has a bunch of upcoming games that has caught my eye and, considering there isn't a lot of time gap between the releases, we can expect to see them soon enough,. Here's what EA and DICE are offering.

A) Star Wars: Battlefront

Let's start with the reboot everyone has been desperately waiting for. Star Wars: Battlefront will test your enduring skills in a massive world of epic wars and battles. Latest news confirms that the game will have 12 multiplayer maps at launch and additional maps will be added by the way of DLCs. Moreover, these maps will be totally different from the game's campaign ones. Some of the maps will also support upto 40 players! You can find more information here.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be landing on your XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this November.

B) Mirrors Edge

DICE has recently revealed that it has already begun work on a new Mirror's Edge game. When the game was announced in 2013, EA said that the game "reboots the franchise for next generation".  So I guess it's safe to say that the game will be a reboot of the original Mirror's Edge, backed with a new story (specifically the origin of Faith) and gameplay enhancements for next-gen gaming. The game is expected to release in early 2016.

C) Need for Speed, Plats vs Zombies and Battlefield

2016 will also see the release of an all new Need for Speed game. There is absolutely nothing more to report. Plants vs Zombies may be a reboot or a sequel to the previous one. Nothing more to share here either. Information is absent at this point of time. The only positive news is that these games are set to be finished sometime next year.

A new Battlefield will also be revealed next year. EA has plans of bringing it out in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Free DLCs and more!

Inquisition owners, here's something to get excited about. BioWare has announced that their game Dragon Age: Inquisition will be getting not one but two new DLCs tomorrow (May 5th). These will be available for all platforms - XBox One, XBox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The Black Emporium is the name of the first one and it is a "premiere shopping destination", according to BioWare. Here, players will be able to get their hands on new weapons, accessories, crafting materials and rare items from Xenon the Antiquarian.
Tired of your character's looks? BioWare has got that covered too. If look around a little bit, you will find in The Black Emporium the Mirror of Transformation through which you'll be able to modify your character's facial features (first of its kind). As an added feature, you will also get two new thrones for Skyhold, accessable by those who player either Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age II.
The second expansion is the multiplayer focused Dragonslayer DLC. Here, you will have the ability to call various types of dragons and go into battle against them (by crafting Dragon Call). Additionally, it adds a new Ferelden Castle and introduces three playable characters - The Fierce Avvar Warrior from the Fallow Mire known as Skywatcher,  Zither! The Virtuoso (who was originally revealed as an April Fool's Day joke) and Isabela, Raider Queen of the Eastern Seas returns to Thedas.
Jaws Of Hakkon DLC for XBox 360, PS4 and PS3:
Due to an exclusivity deal, the Jaws of Hakkon DLC was made available on XBox One and PC way back in March. And now, BioWare has confirmed that it is time for them to release it on the other platforms as well. This paid DLC is will be available on XBox 360, PS4 and PS3 for $14.99 when it releases on May 26.
Here's the official trailer of the Jaws of Hakkon DLC:

If you are interested, the Dragon Age team will be streaming some live gameplay from the Dragonslayer DLC over at their Twitch Account on May 5th, 10 am PST.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Releasing This Fall

After about 3 years, Activision has finally decided to drop a third installment to the Call Of Duty: Black Ops Series and the publisher has recently confirmed that it will be coming out on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this fall.

Black Ops III follows the footsteps of its little brother: set in a futuristic world where, as Treyarch puts it, "biotechnology coupled with cybernetic enhancements has given rise to a new breed of Black Ops soldier."

Be excited:

The game will feature a single-player story mode where you can have upto four players join your campaign missions. Also, multiplayer reconstruction includes Titanfall-like gameplay, which Treyarch describes as "a new momentum-based, chained-movement system that allows players to move fluidly through custom-built environments with finesse."

The developer is putting in a lot of effort to bring about a change to the Call Of Duty series and this may be a start. It cannot deny that it has had a lot of time. Treyarch head, Mark Lamia said, "Black Ops III is, without a doubt, the most ambitious project ever in the history of our studio." Hopefully, this will be thier best one yet.

For those who pre-order the game, they will have a chance to experience a multiplayer beta. The game may be launching on the Wii-U and Zombies mode may see some changes as well. We'll have more news soon.

The game releases on November 6th.

The Last Of Us: Left Behind Seeing a Standalone Installment on PS4 and PS3

When Naughty Dog released 'The Last Of Us' in 2013 for the Sony PlayStation 3, it showed the world that gaming can be more than just a person going around with a weapon killing thousands of enemies and doing nothing but that. It made us realize that gaming can also be about emotion, feelings, attachment and great story telling. According to me, with over 10 awards including the game of the year award, this Sony PlayStation Exclusive is the greatest game ever made. In 2014, the game got a DLC called 'The Last Of Us: Left Behind', that acts as a prequel to the main game's story, following the life of Ellie before she met Joel. In June 2014, a remastered version of the game was announced for the PlayStation 4 which included the game and the DLC.

Now, Naughty Dog has confirmed that the DLC will b available as a standalone download on both PS4 and PS3 systems.

Arne Meyer, Naughty Dog Community Chief wrote, "If you haven't had a chance yet to check out The Last of Us, this is a nicely priced gateway to checking out the world and characters so many people (and critics) loved. While part of the story of Left Behind takes place during the main narrative arc of The Last of Us, I think some of the best and most touching moments of any game in recent memory occur during the prequel segments, as we follow Ellie and Riley as they sneak out of boarding school to visit an abandoned mall, getting one final chance to enjoy their friendship before Riley leaves to join the Fireflies."

The game will be available for $9.99 on May 12th and can be unlocked to the full version later if needed.

Breathe Easy, There Will Be No Loading Times In The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 is probably the biggest Open-World RPG of this generation. That begs the question, can so much information be loaded onto the memory quickly enough so that we can have a smooth experience? And if not, how frequently will we see loading screens? Good news fellow gamers, the answer is NONE.

In an interview, Jonas Mattson, Senior Environment Artist at CD Projekt Red for The Witcher 3, said, "No, there's no loading times. Only when you actually start the game, when you die and load the game or when you fast travel. That fast travel loading time depends on ow far you have to travel , of course. If you travel just a little bit, it's a really short loading time."

"One of the goals we had was to keep the experience as fluid as possible. When you play, you don't want to have the loading screen because it takes you out of the game for a bit. We wanted to make sure that it was as smooth as possible, one big experience. For us, that was really important. I think we achieved that because, as you said, going in and out of a building, there's no loading time. Nothing. It just creates this really nice experience."

So there wont't be any time wasted on loading screens when you enter/exit a building or go into battle with huge monsters or or start new missions or even when you visit a new area! The only time your screen will make you wait is when you fast travel or die and restart a checkpoint. If it is indeed as the developer says and it actually works, this just might be a revolution in gameplay experience.

More news:

Though we got to see a lot of 'wow' footage of the game on PCs, footage from the consoles is extremely scarce. Non-existent in fact. To that, the developer assured us that it is coming soon. It had 'rushed footage from the consoles once and it didn't properly translate how the game looked', so this time it wants to make sure that the game looks and feels the way it is actually supposed to.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases on May 19 on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Here's a sneak-peek into its epicness on ultra setting running at 1080p/60FPS on a PC.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Season Pass Early Details

Activision and Treyarch are hard at work trying to create a ravishing next-gen game in the name of Call Of Duty: Black Ops III. It tries to create a world where soldiers have been weaponized by technological and biological advances and the chaos caused when these 'weapons' get out of hand. The game contains elements of Call Of Duty, Titanfall and Crysis.

If you know what a Season Pass means and its trend, you won't find anything new here. It's the same £34.99/$49.99 and the details are still rare at this stage. The only thing we know for sure is that the Season Pass will include 4 DLCs, which will cost you $15 each if purchased separately. That means you save 10 bucks if you get the Pass. Or, you have the option of purchasing the bundle which will get you a $59.99 Call Of Duty: Black Ops III game and all the delicacies of the Season Pass for $99. That saves you $20 in total. We can expect additional content by the way of Campaign Missions, Weapons, Vehicles and Multiplayer Maps. This is all just speculation though. Zombies content may also be dropped sometime later. We will have more information soon and when that happens, I will be right here delivering it to you. Be sure to check back for the update.

The game releases on the 11th of June for XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

" How far can we push technology before it starts pushing back? "

Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor Publisher, Warner Bros., announced that the game will be getting a GOTY Edition. Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor GOTY Edition comes out on May 5th (North America) and May 8th (UK) for XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, just a few days from now. No word on the previous-gen consoles.

Just Cause 3 Revealed With A Nail-Biting Trailer

Just Cause 3 has been officially unveiled by Square Enix and Avalanche Studios with a nail-biting trialer. In the latest installment, our protagonist - Rico 'The Scorpion' Rodriguez - is on a mission to liberate his birth place - The Island of Medici - from an oppressor named General Di Ravello, who has wreaked havoc in the place.

The 'Grapple Hook' has been the signature weapon of our hero and it will be retained in this game as well. You can also expect a lot more weaponry, advanced gadgets and powerful vehicles. The world is huge and the developer has laid extra emphasis on the destruction and physics effects in the game.

Christofer Sundberg, Co-Founder and Chief Officer of Avalanche Studios said, "To be perfectly clear, Just Cause 3 will be available in 2015 for PlayStation 4, XBox One and Windows PC. It will be distributed as a retail box and digital download. It is not a free-to-play game. It does not feature in-game transactions.

Does that mean we'll release the game and call it quits? Nope. Beyond launch, we are likely to look into DLC packs and items as part of our ambition to support Just Cause 3 and its players for many years to come. But until that time, we are completely focused on making the best Just Cause game we possibly can. Rest assured, it will be huge with a fully packed and an extremely rewarding experience right out of the gate.

We can't wait to see your reactions what we've created. Just Cause 3 truly represents the next generation of chaotic sandbox fun. But just like real sandboxes, ours doesn't really come to life until it's populated by crazy kids refusing to let go of the red barrel as it's shooting across the sky about to explode in a sea of fire and...wait, where are we going with this again?"

The game looks really impressive from the trailer, which is said to have been taken directly from a console. The only disappointing news is that there will be no Co-Op or Multiplayer.

Just Cause releases on XBox One, PlayStation4 and PC this Holiday.

Batman: Arkham Knight Is Insane, Both Game-Wise & Price-Wise

Warner Bros. and DC revealed that Batman: Arkham Knight will have a Season Pass (much like the norm for any game these days) for additional content which will be available for purchase in two versions - 1) just the season pass and 2) the full game bundled with the season pass which they are calling the 'Premium Edition'. The first option is priced at £32.99 ($39.99) while the second option will burn a whole in your pockets with a price tag of £87.98 ($99). Ouch! That is steep considering that this is a no-multiplayer game. Really really steep!

Though the content that will come with the isn't crystal clear, the publisher tried to justify the price by explaining that "the game will deliver regular new content for six months post-launch including new story missions, additional super-villains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile Skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins and new drivable race tracks."

The price may be a let down for many fans and we may not see record sales. But the publisher trying to make a big deal out of this game must be something. The game releases on June 23 on XBox One, PS4 and PC.

With the explosive price comes an explosive trailer. Check it out below.

And the remaster chronicle continues. Sony announced that Santa Monica Studio is working on a remaster version of God Of War III for their latest and greatest. The promotional video is truly beautiful and quite dramatic. Fans are going to love this trialer for sure.

'Alan Wake' Remaster Might Be Coming To The Xbox One

Remedy Entertainment is in talks with Microsoft to make a remaster of Alan Wake and possibly Alan Wake: American Nightmare that might to coming to the Xbox One. This ball started rolling when Microsoft conducted a survey asking gamers if they would be interested in a remastered version of Alan Wake by insinuating a free download of the game if they were to pre-order Microsoft's upcoming exclusive - Quantum Break. Nothing is confirmed, though. This is all just speculation. The only thing we know for sure is that Remedy Entertainment is hard at work trying to make Quantum Break an impressive IP.

In an interview with Polygon, Remedy Creative Director,  Sam Lake, said, "I would love that to happen. Nothing has hapened yet, but we are discussing the possibility with Microsoft. I hope it happens. We'll see."

When asked if the game would also be making an appearance on the PlayStation 4 and Wii U, Lake said that it is "highly unlikely". But the good news is that the developer hasn't ruled out the possibility of Alan Wake 2, which it might start after the release of Quantum Break in 2016. Lake also revealed that if the game were to happen, it will probably be released across multiple platforms and not be confined to Xbox and PC alone.

"Ultimately, these things are business decisions. We are definitely not ruling anything out and looking at different opportunities, but nothing is set in stone at the moment", Sam added.

The developer also teased 13 minutes of prototype demo of Alan Wake 2 (which you can check down below) and that gives me hope.

What do you think? Would you like a remaster or are you leaning towards a sequel? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

The Star Wars: Battlefront Reboot Is Overmuch Thrilling

Brace yourselves for this year's biggest battle of the realms with Star Wars: Battlefront. EA and DICE have confirmed that a reboot of the game is due this year and will be making an appearance on November 17, 2015 across all major platforms.

This online first-person shooter will feature epic battles with the forces wielding a-ok weapons and riding kick-ass vehicles on quintessential lands such as Endor, SullustHoth and Tatooine. The game will have over 8 maps at launch across the four planets mentioned here. Darth Vader and Boba Fett will be the playable Heroes; more to be reveled soon. Additional content will be added as time passes by.

Apparently, the developer is trying to achieve a 60 FPS steady frame-rate by "using destruction where it makes sense but also working to create something that is authentic to the universe". For those who are concerned, the developer has assured that "it's going to look amazing on all platforms".

The Battle Of Jakku Expansion will be available on December 1st to those who pre-order the game. Others will receive it a week later for free, on December 8th.

The reveal trailer shows off the Sony PlayStation branding and a lot of other stuff that has got me excited. You can check it down below.

New 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' Trailer Explains Everything About The Game

CD Projekt Red dropped a new trailer that explains everything about their upcoming game - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt'. The trailer gives us an insight into the developer's intentions and how this game is everything that it wants it to be. It turns our attention to the villages & its people in the game, landscapes, seas, temples, monsters, wilderness, story of the game, environment, graphics, gameplay  fighting skills and, most importantly, the effects that a player's choices have in this vast Open World-RPG. The trailer also enlightens us of the many adventures and events a player can opt to be big on.

The game releases on May 19th worldwide across all the three current-gen platforms (Windows, PS4 and XBOne). This is a big deal for Sony because the previous versions of the game were outed on Windows and Xbox 360 alone. And from the overwhelming response so far, this might be the biggest Open World Action-RPG game to release this year, which has a whopping 230+ hours of gameplay, if you didn't know (details here).

Though the release date might not be far away, this trailer has made the already hungry even more hungry. You can check out 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' Gameplay Trailer down below.

 So, how hungry are you?
